In the support jacket Ep+ROBO, the left and right motors independently assist according to the angle of your waist. You can smoothly perform diagonal movements during reloading, etc., as well as work that involves bending over and leaning forward.

■Mechanism

Gearboxes equipped with left and right motors and high-sensitivity sensors assist according to your body movements. When the switch is turned on, the sensor detects the wearer's movements and automatically assists in the necessary areas. In addition, since the left and right motors move independently, it responds to every movement of the body. It can provide comfortable assistance at all times, such as when handling loads from side to side, pulling objects diagonally in front of you, etc. It can also be used not only for lifting operations, but also for long periods of work in a forward leaning or half-backed position. The body is secured around the pelvis with a waist belt, so you will hardly feel any weight on your shoulders. You can use it stress-free even when moving from place to place during work or when working for long periods of time.

■Muscle activity ratio reduced by up to 42.8%

As a result of examining the muscle activity of the back (erector spinae muscles) during a series of movements of lifting and lowering a load, assuming that it was 100% when not wearing ROBO, it was reduced by up to 42.8% (average 29.8 ± 9.8%) by wearing ROBO. *Verified by 5 healthy adult men lifting and lowering a 10kg load between the floor and a 70cm high platform.

■Measured value of pressure applied to the lumbar vertebrae

・The forward tilt angle when lifting from the floor was improved by 17.0 degrees to 52.2 degrees when wearing ROBO compared to 69.2 degrees when not wearing it, resulting in a 2.5 kg reduction in the instantaneous pressure load on the lumbar discs. ・The forward tilt angle when lowering the table from the desk to the floor was 68.0 degrees when not wearing it, but it was 54.4 degrees when wearing ROBO, an improvement of 13.6 degrees, so the instantaneous load pressure on the lumbar discs was reduced to 1.8 kg. decrease ・If lifting and lowering cargo is repeated 100 times over 5 days: (2.5kg+1.8kg) x 100 times x 5 days = 2,150kg (approximately 2.15 tons)
