About This Product

■Innovative solutions based on track record

In 1937, Friedrich Förster, who was researching the magnetic properties of metals, discovered that the earth's magnetic field interferes with the detection coil of a measuring device. He began developing an ultrasensitive measurement device for magnetic fields, later known as the Förster probe. FEREX fluxgate magnetometers are based on this principle, which continues to this day. This device measures geomagnetic conditions that are disturbed by ferromagnetic materials. And it enables reliable identification of ferromagnetic materials such as iron, steel, and nickel. FEREX is therefore used for archaeological excavations and geophysical research, not to mention the detection of weapons such as unexploded ordnance from World War II. A differential magnetometer detects weak disturbance magnetic fields (relative to the earth's magnetism) generated by magnetic objects (including wooden ruins) buried underground or under the sea, and detects unexploded ordnance and cultural relics and pinpoints their location. .

■Advantages of FEREX series

・Lightweight and easy-to-handle flux gate sensor ・4 continuous 12 hours operation with 4 AA batteries ・Automatically read RTK-GPS data for easy data analysis of location information and magnetic data ・Integrated software that can estimate the depth and size of buried objects ・One unit supports both horizontal and vertical exploration ・With the industry's highest measurement resolution of 0.1 nanotesla, it is easy to detect residential traces without thermal impact. ・Magnetic data is automatically saved at 100mm intervals by linking with the RTK-GPS system. ・Data display analysis software equipped with spatial filters is effective in noise removal and feature extraction. ・Exhibits its power in archaeological research on wooden ruins around the world, such as Stonehenge and Woodhenge. Borehole detector useful for detecting magnetic abnormalities in vertical shafts.

■Additional specifications

・Extension of FEREX API ・Extension of FEREX DLG/DLG KARTO ・10 ATM water resistant probe cable ・Depth measurement device ・Data evaluation using software DALALINE BM

■Application example

・Vertical position identification when searching for unexploded ordnance ・Searching for metal waste deep in a landfill ・Vertical exploration of strata (vertical exploration) ・Magnetic (electromagnetic) logging
