About This Product

■Different material discrimination/hardness measuring device

Electromagnetic measurement equipment from Förster, which has a proven track record in the field of material inspection using electromagnetic induction testing. It accurately reads changes in the electromagnetic induction signal obtained by magnetizing the test material with high power, and uses the latest statistical methods to evaluate metal parts after heat treatment, distinguish between different materials, and evaluate surface hardness and tensile strength.

■MAGNATEST D

Windows-based full digital type. We achieved high discrimination ability through high-power excitation and improved resolution ability through enhanced performance of high-frequency components. Not only can it be used on automobile parts production lines, but it can also be used in laboratories where measurement accuracy is required.

■Compact device with maximum performance controlled by processor

MAGNATEST D is most commonly used in the automotive industry worldwide for fully automatic, single-coil, absolute measurement mode magnetic induction testing of material properties. The combination of high excitation current and complex analysis electronics identifies even the smallest crystalline mismatches. Inspection results clearly displayed on the touch display are recorded with statistical data of the inspected parts, histogram display and inspection data export. MAGNATEST D can be operated with a large number of coils using an optional electronic switching multiplexer. The unit has a communication port for connection to a higher-level quality control system. The Magna-Claris software also supports linear regression analysis with up to 250 calibration samples. This software can calculate characteristic values such as hardness and effective case depth.

■Harmonic analysis

MP (Magnetische Prüfanlagen GmbH), a subsidiary of FOERSTER, manufactures products with excellent harmonic analysis performance in metal structure inspection. This can reduce the effects of temperature and batch, the position of the inspection material, and product shape tolerances. The magnetization curve can be separated into a carrier wave and harmonics (multiples of the carrier wave) by Fourier transform. The frequency spectrum consists of all odd frequencies. i.e. f1 (carrier), f3, f5, f7..etc. Harmonic analysis can provide additional information on the properties of the test material.
