■CBSF-Basic is a handheld impact force measuring instrument for measuring transient and quasi-static contact forces of collaborative robots.

Collaborative robots are robots that work together with humans without the need for fences. Therefore, there is a potential risk of accidents due to contact with people. The "Functional Safety Utilization Practical Manual for Industrial Robot Systems" published by the Japan Industrial Accident Prevention Association in March 2018 requires manufacturers, system integrators, and users of collaborative robots to conduct risk assessments and prevent impact forces. We are obligated to make efforts to ensure that the maximum values ​​comply with ISO/TS15066 and TSB0033 standards. The CoboSafe CBSF series is ideal for verifying the safety of collaborative robots. This measuring device allows you to select the model according to the body part required for risk assessment, and measure impact force during tests during product development or during pre-start inspections of robots. Performance is guaranteed by a calibration certificate issued by the manufacturer. It also comes with a storage case, making it convenient to store and carry. ・Graphs and measurement data are displayed on the display and can be transferred to a computer via the USB port using the optional software CoboSafe-Vision for analysis and report creation. ・With a built-in 75N/mm spring, it is possible to measure impact forces on various body parts except the head. ・Software CoboSafe-Vision is required to retrieve measurement data stored in the main unit.

Impact force conditions specified by ISO/TS15066 (TSB0033) standard

■Transient contact

A situation in which a human body part is collided with a moving robot part and the robot can return or withdraw the human body without the contacting body being pinched or captured.

■Quasi-static contact (Static)

A state in which a human body part is trapped or crushed between the movable part of the robot system and the fixed or movable part of another work cell.
