This is an item called a "residual charge test." This measuring device can test residual charge safely and accurately, so it can be used for safety certification of electronic equipment, safety testing on production lines, and evaluation in test laboratories. Electrical products have built-in noise filters to attenuate noise between the AC power supply and the electrical product, but if the power cord comes into contact with the metal pin of the power plug when the power cord is unplugged, it may remain in the capacitor inside the noise filter. There is a risk of electric shock due to residual charge. Therefore, it is required to perform a "residual charge test" specified by the IEC/JIS standard and test that it is below the specified value. Until now, this "residual charge test" has been performed using an oscilloscope, but since this device can display the test results on the LCD panel using preset values ​​for each standard, an oscilloscope is required separately. There's no need to.
