About This Product

This is a compact CNT synthesis device that has expanded the MPCNT-Basic version and added superior functions such as a filament heating mechanism and multi-gas introduction mechanism. Equipped as standard with an inlet port for not only ethanol raw material but also hydrocarbon raw gas such as acetylene gas and methane gas, and H2 reducing gas, making it possible to produce vertically aligned CNTs and powder type CNTs. By pre-heating and sublimating the catalyst precursor using a filament heating mechanism, the catalyst can be supported on the substrate or carrier (Si, quartz, ceramics, etc.) on the spot, eliminating the need for a separate catalyst production process in principle. . In other words, it is a self-contained CNT synthesis device that simultaneously forms catalysts and generates CNTs in the same device. Additionally, this filament heating mechanism has the effect of promoting CNT growth, making it possible to generate long CNTs of up to several mm in length. The CNTs produced are several tens to hundreds of times longer than other companies' CNT products (excluding AIST's Super Growth CNTs), and are characterized by high electrical conductivity and reinforcing effects.

■Purpose

This is an inexpensive benchtop CVD device for easily synthesizing vertically aligned CNTs and graphene films.

■Features

・Ethanol and hydrocarbon gas can be switched arbitrarily ・Equipped with a radiation thermometer for monitoring the temperature of the heater as standard. ・Rapid heating and cooling (within a few seconds) of the substrate heater is possible, making it ideal for graphene film formation ・Equipped with heating sublimation mechanism for catalyst precursor ・Possible to grow powder type and vertically aligned CNTs ・Possible to produce powder type CNT of 1g or more/lot ・Long CNTs up to several mm long can be grown
