About This Product

If carbon is doped with nitrogen and pyridine-type nitrogen sites are successfully formed, oxidation and reduction functions similar to those of platinum catalysts will appear, and it is expected to be used as a platinum substitute catalyst or platinum reduction catalyst. Our company succeeded in synthesizing nitrogen-doped CNTs, which cannot compete with Pt in terms of current density, but has a certain level of oxidation/reduction catalytic ability, and confirmed the oxidation/reduction catalytic effect. Ordinary CNTs have a straw-like hollow structure, but nitrogen-doped CNTs, although they look like nanotubes on the outside, do not have a straight hollow structure inside, but instead have vertical, square chambers that look like strings of beads. They have a structure that looks like they are lined up in a row. Many "corners" of each room appear, and it is thought that a large amount of nitrogen is occupied by these "corners." With the cooperation of the Waki ​​Laboratory at Tokyo Institute of Technology, we measured the oxidation and reduction effects of our nitrogen-doped CNTs using an electrochemical method, and obtained the following results.
