About This Product

Silicon is considered to be the preferred negative electrode material for next-generation lithium-ion batteries, and research and development is underway around the world. Silicon anode materials are said to have a capacity density up to 10 times that of current graphite, but the expansion and contraction rate is also more than three times higher, which is the biggest problem that hinders cycle characteristics. I am. Research results have shown that one way to suppress (absorb) the shrinkage and expansion of silicon is to create a structure in which silicon particles are wrapped in a carbon shell. Using our proprietary technology, we have developed a hybrid material in which we create porous graphite that resembles a honeycomb, and fill some of the holes in the honeycomb with silicon particles. As the silicon particles repeatedly expand and contract within the holes of each cavity, the overall coating film of the electrode is less affected, and cycle characteristics can be expected to improve. Although it is not currently in the mass production stage, we are providing samples for a fee for testing, evaluation, and research and development purposes.
