About This Product
Due to temperature limits, CNTs cannot be grown directly on polymer films such as rubber or resin. However, once vertically aligned CNTs are grown on an inorganic heat-resistant substrate, it is possible to transfer them from the substrate to a resin film, etc. using a simple method of heat pressing. In particular, our long aligned CNTs are easy to transfer, and can be transferred to various substrates such as polymer films.
After transfer, one CNT growth tip is embedded in the resin or rubber film and fixed, and the other CNT growth root is exposed like a brush on the surface of the film. The exposed CNT root part is soft and bends arbitrarily, resulting in low contact resistance and good conduction even with a slight contact pressure, exhibiting unique surface contact resistance characteristics.
Furthermore, when transferred to a rubber sheet, conductivity is maintained without breaking even if the rubber sheet is stretched significantly. It is expected to be used as electrodes in fields such as wearable devices, robots, healthcare, artificial muscles, elastomer actuators, and elastomer power generation.

・In addition to stretchable/flexible mechanical properties, CNT's properties such as electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, electromagnetic wave absorption properties, high specific surface area, and chemical resistance can be imparted to various polymer films. For a fee, we can provide samples or prototypes in which aligned CNTs are transferred to a base material such as a resin film, rubber sheet, or paper of your choice.
- Vertically aligned CNTs are flexible and have elasticity, so when transferred to a rubber sheet or film, they can be imparted with electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, electromagnetic wave absorption properties, etc. without sacrificing the elasticity of the rubber. This structure is particularly suitable for applications such as TIM that require heat conduction in the perpendicular direction.
