About This Product

■What is a friction fastener?

Friction fasteners are mechanical elements used to connect the rotating shafts of various industrial machines to pulleys, gears, etc. Friction fasteners are also called keyless bushings depending on their use, and are widely used in industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, food machinery, etc. Typical methods include the wedge method (mechanical method), which uses the wedge principle, and the hydro method (hydraulic method), which uses Pascal's principle. By understanding the characteristics of each type well and incorporating friction fasteners that match the purpose and location of use, we can demonstrate various powers such as reducing man-hours and improving maintainability.

■Types and characteristics of friction fastening methods

- Wedge method (mechanical method): Cheap and highly versatile, but requires time and effort to install and remove. ・Hydro system (hydraulic system): Although slightly more expensive than the wedge system, it is easy to maintain, and installation and removal are easy, quick, and highly accurate.

■Features of the ETP-H model

By forcing oil into the sleeve using a pump and moving the wedge of the tapered piston built inside, the shaft and hub are strongly connected through the sleeve. Also, since the oil used for connection is only needed for the movement of the piston, no pressure is applied after connection, and it is held only by the wedge effect of the tapered piston.

■High torque and high thrust force

Since the wedge is operated hydraulically using a pump, the permissible torque is extremely large and can withstand heavy thrust loads. *Made to order products *The allowable torque is the value when the thrust force is zero, and the allowable thrust force is the value when the torque is zero.
