About This Product
■What is a friction fastener?
Friction fasteners are mechanical elements used to connect the rotating shafts of various industrial machines to pulleys, gears, etc. Friction fasteners are also called keyless bushings depending on their use, and are widely used in industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, food machinery, etc. Typical methods include the wedge method (mechanical method), which uses the wedge principle, and the hydro method (hydraulic method), which uses Pascal's principle. By understanding the characteristics of each type well and incorporating friction fasteners that match the purpose and location of use, we can demonstrate various powers such as reducing man-hours and improving maintainability.
■Types and characteristics of friction fastening methods
- Wedge method (mechanical method): Cheap and highly versatile, but requires time and effort to install and remove.
・Hydro system (hydraulic system): Although slightly more expensive than the wedge system, it is easy to maintain, and installation and removal are easy, quick, and highly accurate.
■Features of the ETP-E Plus model
The shaft and hub can be connected easily and quickly with a single bolt. Furthermore, the concentricity is excellent at 0.02 mm, making it ideal for areas where high precision is required and frequent attachment and detachment are required. The structure tightens from the radial direction, so it does not take up much work space.
■Accurate and easy positioning
Positioning in the axial and rotational directions can be performed arbitrarily, making it easy to install in equipment that requires accurate synchronous adjustment.
■Realizes space saving
It can be designed to be fastened to the shaft from the radial direction, allowing for a space-saving design. Contributes to a compact and lightweight design with low inertia.
■High concentricity
Since the surface pressure is uniform on both the shaft and hub sides, high concentricity is maintained even if the outer diameter of the hub is reduced. Therefore, unbalance caused by centrifugal force can be reduced even when used at high speed rotation.
■Secure and speedy installation
Reliable installation is possible by simply tightening one bolt to the specified torque. (*In order to securely fix the shaft and hub with appropriate surface pressure, please install so that the shaft and hub are in complete contact.)
■Ensuring safety in food and medical equipment
Since the pressure medium uses a highly safe food machinery lubricant (NSF H1 registered product), safety in food machinery and medical machinery has been improved. (*For ETP-E Plus R type)
