■Features

・This is a direct drive linear servo stage using a cylinder type linear motor. - Non-contact drive enables speed stability and high-speed movement.

■The birth of a completely new stage equipped with a shaft motor that replaces ball screw drive

This is a new generation drive unit that is the same size as a ball screw but can generate high thrust without contact. The moving coil converts the magnetic flux generated from the magnets arranged inside the magnet shaft with high efficiency and without waste, achieving high-speed and highly accurate linear motion.

■Equipped with high-speed, high-thrust GMC linear shaft motor

・The stage equipped with a linear shaft is equipped with a GMC Hillston shaft motor. ・This shaft motor has a simple structure with a coreless coil and stainless steel shaft. ・While realizing high-speed movement of up to 2,000mm/sec, it is coreless + non-contact drive, so it can also achieve low vibration and low noise with no cogging. ・It also has high speed stability and no mechanical backlash, making it suitable for high-precision measurement applications.

■Shaft motor drive mechanism

The amount of table movement is measured using a high-precision optical scale (linear scale). The motor driver operates while comparing and calculating the command value to the motor and the actual travel amount received from the linear scale. The host controller (PC or PLC) only issues position commands to the motor driver, and the motor driver performs all closed-loop control.

■High precision and high reliability Compatible with linear scales manufactured by various companies

You can select and install the optimal linear scale according to your required accuracy. This allows full closed loop control while reading table movement with high precision. Compared to the method used with AC servo motors, which uses a rotary encoder to read the rotation angle of the motor, it directly reads the actual table movement, allowing for highly accurate positioning.

■Compatible with control systems depending on the application

A dedicated driver performs all drive control of the shaft motor and full closed loop control of the scale, so there is no need to consider a complex control system.
