About This Product

■Compact stacking type board-to-board (FPC) connector with 0.3mm pitch, 0.6mm mating height, and 5A power terminal.

With the spread of 5G, small mobile devices such as smartphones, wearable devices, and tablet PCs are becoming more multifunctional and sophisticated, with larger batteries and an increased number of cameras. This requires higher density inside the equipment. For this reason, while internal connectors are becoming smaller, they are also required to have a structure that prevents damage during mating, and to handle larger currents by increasing current capacity. The WP56MS series is a stacking type board-to-board (FPC) connector with a robust structure and 0.3mm pitch power terminal. This product has a depth of 1.73mm, which is smaller than conventional products. Furthermore, in addition to protecting the mating surface with hold-down, protective metal fittings are provided on both ends of the adsorption section, greatly improving robustness. In addition, by using the holddown as a power supply terminal that can handle large currents, it is possible to reduce the number of terminals, thereby reducing the size of the product and contributing to the customer's greater design freedom by saving space on the board.

■Features

・0.3mm pitch, stacking height 0.6mm, depth 1.73mm (depth 1.9mm including SMT) ・Two power supply terminals capable of carrying 5.0A (also used for hold-down) ・Robust structure hold-down protects mating surface and prevents mold breakage - Robust structure using metal fittings to prevent damage to the suction part when mating ・Good workability due to click feeling ・Two-point contact structure with high contact reliability ・Nickel barrier applied to contacts to prevent solder build-up ・Supported transmission standards: MIPI, USB4®, PCIeGen4

■Applications

Smartphones, smart glasses, tablet PCs, notebook PCs, gaming terminals, digital cameras, AR/VR headsets, and other small mobile devices in general
