Developed as a gear forming grinder for cylindrical gears for over 20 years, the machine has been introduced to many gear manufacturing sites, including the automobile industry, and has been used not only for gears as machine elements, but also for master gears for meshing tests, electrical discharge machining. It is widely used for grinding tools such as gear-shaped copper electrodes. By combining the machine's motion performance for reliable positioning and indexing with the highly accurate tooth surface analysis performed by the on-board software, the machine has a configuration that can even aim for JIS N0 class. It is also possible to perform bias modification that changes the tooth profile and tooth trace of involute gears three-dimensionally, and achieves high-precision grinding from true tooth surfaces as per theory to modified tooth surfaces. The degree of freedom that is unique to the molded grinding method allows for fine adjustment of tooth profile and tooth lead.
