About This Product

■Features

Tempered glass is made by heating float glass to approximately 700℃, then blowing air onto the glass surface to uniformly and rapidly cool it, creating a compressed layer on the surface.

■Characteristics

Tempered glass has a compressive stress layer on the surface of the glass that counteracts tensile stress, so it has approximately 3.5 times the wind pressure strength compared to float glass of the same nominal thickness. Additionally, if the balance between the compressive stress layer on the surface and the tensile stress layer inside is disrupted, the entire surface of tempered glass will break instantly. Even if it breaks, it is safe because the pieces will hardly scatter. Product effects
