About This Product

GR-PDK/X is a development kit that supports XPS printer driver developers.

■XPS Printer Driver Development Kit GR-PDK/X Overview

・V4: Compatible with Microsoft® Windows®8/8 x64/Server 2012/10/10 x64/Server 2016 -The XPS printer driver development kit "GR-PDK/X" supports printer driver development for XPS print paths. - You can create a V3 driver based on the traditional printer driver architecture or a V4 driver based on the new printer driver architecture that supports Windows Store apps added in Windows® 8. - Driver developers can efficiently develop XPS printer drivers simply by writing custom modules based on the rich sample sources. *The XPS printer driver (V4) is included in the required items for the Windows® logo certification test. The V4 driver provides a language monitor alternative function using library (USB/TCP) options and UI options (monitor server). However, there are restrictions that deviate from the logo certification requirements.

■XPS Printer Driver Development Kit GR-PDK/X Features

・License fee only, no royalties required ・Source code provided (sample source of custom module also provided) ・Created custom modules can be shared between OSs - No restrictions on printer types ・Free support for half a year (phone/email support, minor updates, etc.)

■Contents written by the developer (custom module)

・Printer capability response section ・Print settings (UI) section ・Command output section *Since the source code is provided, it is possible to make your own customizations such as upgrading and adding functions in the future.

■The structure is “dam style”

In this format, in response to a print request from an application, the driver side draws in the page memory prepared and sends it all together as an image command to the printer side.
