About This Product

Voice code Uni-Voice" is a code developed by the Japan Visual Impairment Information Dissemination Support Association (JAVIS), a non-profit organization, that converts text information on printed matter into a two-dimensional code. By reading the voice code Uni-Voice with a dedicated smartphone app or reading device, it is possible to display text and read out the voice. By pasting it on printed materials, information can be provided to anyone, including the visually impaired and the elderly. In May 2023, the Act on Promotion of Measures Related to the Acquisition and Use of Information and Communication by Persons with Disabilities (commonly known as the Act on Promotion of Information Accessibility and Communication Measures for Persons with Disabilities) will be enforced, allowing people with disabilities to access information. There is a need to create an environment where people can access. By introducing the voice code Uni-Voice, national and local governments as well as general companies can contribute to making text information barrier-free and improving accessibility.
