About This Product

The new UWE series is a magnetic flaw detection system equipped with DC field magnetization that meets the specifications required by the aircraft industry. In order to detect circumferential scratches using compound magnetization, we recommend AC field magnetization and DC field magnetization specifications. A longitudinal magnetic field (DC magnetic field) is suitable for detecting circumferential flaws, and a circumferential magnetic field (AC magnetic field) is suitable for detecting longitudinal flaws. Equipped with a secondary DC power supply for longitudinal current penetration, it is also possible to implement with high current, although it is expensive. In this case, a switching method is used instead of simultaneous magnetization. Normally, two-phase phase difference type compound current magnetization has a well-balanced magnetic field and can be easily demagnetized. Magnetic flaw detection can only detect flaws in a direction within +/-45° from the direction perpendicular to the magnetic field. Normally, the direction of the scratches is random, so two-way magnetization is required for correct inspection.

■UWE series can be combined with automatic transport equipment

The UWE series can also be used as a continuous automatic system in combination with automatic conveyance equipment. A conveying device called a chain conveyor transports the inspection object accurately and allows it to be placed on the inspection table. A series of processes including clamping, magnetization, magnetic powder liquid scattering, and demagnetization are performed automatically. The system becomes simple if the operator installs it on the chain conveyor and aligns it on the inspection table. Can also be used with robots.
