About This Product
■About industrial brushes
・Industrial brushes are tools in which hair materials such as resin, metal, animal and plant fibers are embedded in a base of metal, wood, or synthetic resin.
・It is used for a wide range of purposes such as cleaning, removing, dustproofing, polishing, and peeling, and the type and shape of the bristle material differs depending on the workpiece material, shape, and purpose.
Type of hair material
chemical fiber
■Nylon
Among chemical fibers, it has excellent elasticity, abrasion resistance, durability, and flexibility, and is the most used hair material.
■Polypropylene
It is the lightest of the synthetic fibers, and is harder and more durable than nylon.
■Nylon with abrasive grains
A material made of nylon fibers containing abrasive grains.
metal
■Hard steel wire
A steel wire that has been hardened by cold drawing and is widely used as industrial brushes.
■Plated steel wire
Bristle material made of hard steel wire plated (brass, zinc) has high grinding power and excellent strength.
■Stainless steel stranded wire
This stranded wire is made by twisting 6 pieces of stainless steel material with the same diameter into the core wire, and then applying a corrugated finish to the entire wire.
plant fiber
■Palm
Made from coconut fiber, it is soft and elastic.
■Fern
It is made from palmyra coconut fibers and is relatively hard, so it is used when more strength is required.
animal fiber
■Horse hair
・This hair material has excellent flexibility and elasticity, and has higher chemical resistance than chemical fibers.
・It is a material that has a longer length than other animal hairs and generates less static electricity than chemical fibers.
■Pig hair
- A hair material that is stronger than horse hair.
・Like horse hair, it generates less static electricity, but pig hair is short so there is a limit to its length.
■Wool
It is thinner and softer than horse hair or pig hair, so it hits the workpiece softly.
brush shape
■Wheel brush
- A brush with bristles sandwiched between thin disc-shaped metal fittings.
- It has stronger abrasive power than cup/bevel brushes, and is used not only for removing burrs and rust, but also for descaling (removing oxide films) from steel surfaces.
