About This Product

■Gauge contact・Gauge contacts are measuring heads mainly used in cylindrical and internal grinding machines.
-A tip made of SD diamond, PCD (diamond sintered compact), carbide, etc. is attached to the tip of the base metal (shank), and measurements are taken while making contact with the workpiece.
・SD diamond is highly versatile and can be provided at a lower price than PCD, but it only comes in a conical shape.
・On the other hand, PCD has a high degree of freedom in shape design, so it can be processed into rectangular shapes.
-However, they tend to be more expensive than SD diamonds.
- Carbide tips are the cheapest, but they are less hard and have a shorter lifespan than SD diamond or PCD, so they are suitable for small-lot products.
- The material of the shank can be SUS303, 304, 316, 420, carbide, etc.
・The shape will be designed according to the customer's request.
・We also carry zero sets, etc. that adjust the position of gauge contacts.
