About This Product

■About vitrified whetstones・This whetstone uses clay, glass, etc. as raw materials and is fired at a high temperature of 1,200 to 1,300 degrees. It has the characteristics of easy removal of chips due to the size of the pores, resistance to thermal deformation, and a wide range of particle sizes available. Therefore, it can be applied to a wide range of workpiece materials.

■Centerless whetstone- A type of grindstone that processes the outer circumference of a cylindrical workpiece, and is used to process the workpiece placed on a receiver called a blade by sandwiching it between the grindstone and the adjustment wheel.
・No machining of the center hole is required and there is little deflection of the workpiece, so it is used by automobile and bearing manufacturers as a grindstone suitable for mass production.

- Applicable workpieces are general steel, alloy steel, and hardened steel.

■Silicon carbide (C, GC, etc.)-Uses carbon-based abrasive grains and is characterized by its toughness and extremely hardness.
- Applicable workpieces are non-ferrous materials such as carbide and ceramics.

■Ceramic type (polycrystalline ceramic type)・Abrasive grains composed of uniform submicron crystals.
・The target workpieces are general steel, alloy steel, and hardened steel as well as alumina-based materials, but the abrasive grains are specialized for grindability and durability.
