About This Product

A wound core is a core made by cutting a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and processing it into a rectangular wound core, and is mainly used in transformers. At our company, we use an automatic winding forming machine to cut each electromagnetic steel sheet to the length of the magnetic path, stack each sheet into a ring shape, and then insert a rectangular core (mandrel). In this state, it is annealed in an electric furnace to recrystallize the crystal structure that has undergone machining distortion, remove the machining distortion, and complete the product. The wound core has superior magnetic properties compared to conventional EI cores for transformers, so it contributes to improving the performance of transformers. Our wound cores meet the requirements for smaller size and lighter weight, so they are used in power distribution applications such as pole-mounted transformers, as well as medium-sized transformers used in commercial facilities and factories. In recent years, it has also been used in quick charging equipment for EVs.
