About This Product
■Development background
Since phosphate rock is a resource with limited reserves, it has been pointed out that it may be depleted in several decades or even hundreds of years. It is possible to extend the life of phosphorus resources by recycling phosphate rock. Therefore, when we started recycling, we focused on fire extinguishers.
■What is a fire extinguisher?
The "ABC powder fire extinguisher" commonly installed in homes is a pink powder, and this powder contains "ammonium phosphorus" and "ammonium sulfate." Recently, fire extinguisher manufacturers have begun to sort the collected extinguishing agents and reuse them in new fire extinguishers or recycle them as fertilizer.
■Our company's movements so far
When the price of phosphate fertilizer soared in 2008, we were asked by JA Saga if there was an inexpensive raw material for phosphate fertilizer, and we turned our attention to fire extinguishing agents. Silicone coating is the most problematic when using fire extinguishing agents as fertilizers. Quality maintenance standards for fire extinguishers have become extremely strict, and measures are taken to prevent caking due to external moisture by applying a silicone coating.
However, the first condition for fertilizers is that they must be soluble in water, and the challenge is to remove the water repellency of the silicone coating. In 2009, it was not possible to recycle the fire extinguishing agent alone into fertilizer.
■What is Kanesada NP No. 1?
In 2012, we participated in the feasibility study project (FS project), which is a research project of Kurume Research Park Co., Ltd., as a "study of efficient recycling of fire extinguisher chemicals" and collaborated with the Fukuoka Prefectural Industrial Technology Center Chemical Fiber Research Institute. We have been conducting research on silicon coating removal. The fertilizer made using the technology developed there is ``Kanesada NP No. 1.''
By heating the extinguishing agent at a certain temperature for a certain period of time, it is possible to reduce the pressure during pressurization to less than 1/70th, and we have succeeded in significantly reducing the cost of mechanical equipment. In 2013, we were selected for the "Support Subsidy for Prototype Development, etc. for Manufacturing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Small Businesses," installed machinery and equipment, and started manufacturing "Kanesada NP No. 1," a fire extinguisher recycling fertilizer.
■Features of Kanesada NP1
-Contains 15% nitrogen and 24% phosphoric acid as fertilizer components.
・Low and stable price
・Established unique recycling technology. Since we are not affected by exchange rates due to imports, we are able to provide products at low and stable prices.
・Although it is a small amount, silicone dissolves into the soil, improving plant growth.
