About This Product

■Features

- A compact dissolved ozone monitor that uses a diaphragm polarographic sensor that is less susceptible to the effects of various metal ions and conductivity in sample water and has excellent selectivity. ・Since ozone in water is measured through a gas-permeable diaphragm, it is less susceptible to the effects of residual chlorine and dissolved organic matter. ・The 3-electrode configuration greatly suppresses the generation of electrode reaction by-products that deteriorate the sensor's aging characteristics.

■Principle

This device is a dissolved ozone monitor that uses a diaphragm polarographic sensor, which is common among electrochemical analysis methods and has a proven track record. Ozone exists as dissolved ozone in water and enters the electrode through a gas-permeable diaphragm attached to the tip of the electrode, where a reduction reaction occurs on the surface of the working electrode and an equivalent oxidation reaction occurs on the counter electrode. A current proportional to the ozone concentration is generated.

■Sensitivity check

Sensitivity confirmation is required when using for the first time. In addition, as measurements continue, dirt adheres to the diaphragm and the electrolyte is consumed, so to maintain measurement accuracy, the electrolyte and diaphragm must be replaced periodically. The approximate replacement cycle is approximately 1 to 2 months, depending on the water quality. After replacing, please adjust the sensitivity using a measuring device that allows you to compare the dissolved ozone concentration. Please use the dissolved ozone detector "Kentaro" to check the sensitivity. (optional)
