About This Product

■Prevent drip loss, save time and improve food safety

Industrial thawing in a closed environment and using steam under near-vacuum allows frozen products to be thawed quickly and safely without compromising product quality or overall yield. This system eliminates the risk of contamination, provides well-controlled defrosting, increases gravy retention and helps maintain yield during further processing. The food safety risk is negligible as a 95% vacuum is an inhospitable environment for bacteria and microbiological growth.

■Main uses

GEA ColdSteam T is available in several capacities. Designed for tempering and defrosting most meat products, including chicken breast fillets, bone-in chicken parts, pork spareribs, and beef tops.
