About This Product

■Vacuum conveyance - lean phase

Dilute-phase or dilute-phase vacuum conveying systems typically use a positive displacement pump to create a vacuum (up to 50%) and convey the material through a pipeline to a receiving vessel where the air and product are filtered and removed. Separate. Lower capacity fan-based systems are also available. The product enters the pipeline directly or, if metering is required, via a feeding device (rotary valve or screw feeder) and is suspended in an air stream and transported at relatively high speeds depending on the size and density of the particles. The transported product is evacuated from the receiving vessel either continuously by a rotary airlock or intermittently by a valve. ■Application

Lean-phase vacuum systems are particularly suited for conveying low to medium volumes of material over medium distances from multiple points to a single destination. This method is often used in central vacuum cleaning systems, when pulling product from multiple silos, and other applications that require a reticular network of vacuum pipes to convey product to a single collection point.
