About This Product

■Freezing/cooling system

GEA consults with the bakery industry around the world and offers a range of cooling and freezing systems to meet the production requirements of cookies, cakes, pies, bread and pastries.

■Model TOR: Storage and cooling tower

GEA's versatile TOR storage and cooling towers allow products on trays to be stored and naturally cooled after baking and before being injected or depanned and transferred to packaging. A space-saving alternative to traditional long cooling conveyors, TOR tower units are commonly integrated into complete production plants to cool the product coming out of the GEA Imaforni oven. The tower unit can also be used as a storage area for recollection of trays and is capable of automatic loading and unloading. TOR cooling tower consists of an ascending tray holding slot and a descending tray holding slot, and the baking tray is conveyed from the oven to this slot to cool the product. After cooling for the specified time, the trays are transported to a direct injection system for filling with products at ambient temperature or moved to a depanning unit before the products are sent to the packaging section. The vertical TOR tower system saves a lot of space in the production area compared to horizontal cooling conveyors. The versatile TOR tower has a dual function and can also be used as an automatic tray storage, loading and unloading unit, eliminating the need to manually load and unload trays when powering the plant on and off. GEA can customize the tray capacity of the TOR tower to suit your plant capacity.
