About This Product

■VARIVENT® constant pressure valveVARIVENT® constant pressure valves are used to adjust the injection pressure of the valve at a constant level. When process-related pressure fluctuations occur, valves open and close to offset the pressure fluctuations. The required product pressure is set via the air supply pressure to the actuator. For this reason, a constant air control pressure is required.

■FunctionThe VARIVENT® constant pressure valve opens as soon as the product pressure acting on the ring surface of the valve disc is higher than the closing force set via the air supply pressure of the piston. When the product pressure drops, the valve closes automatically and a constant pressure is set at the injection nozzle.

In addition, the lower part of the valve disc is equipped with a control cone to optimize valve performance. The valve disc of the constant pressure valve is made of PTFE, which provides high resistance to aggressive media and low friction during operation.

■Application exampleIn practice, VARIVENT® constant pressure valves are used to maintain constant product pressure at the separator outlet. Currently, automatically controlled VARIVENT® constant pressure valves are a lower cost alternative to modular control valves. No additional pressure transmitter is required as the valve functions automatically after setting the required product pressure.

Additionally, VARIVENT® constant pressure valves can be used to maintain the required product pressure during heat exchange.

■Optional mechanical equipmentThe valve can also be optionally equipped with an immediate exhaust device or a precise pressure regulator. The air supply or exhaust function can be used to precisely set the air supply pressure above the piston face. This allows you to control the required constant product pressure on the injection side of the valve.
