About This Product

■VARIVENT® control valve

The modular design of the VARIVENT® system offers numerous optional implementations to best fit the valve to your process. This product range includes two different valve types. Type S has a diaphragm actuator and positioner, while Type P control valves have a VARIVENT® air/spring actuator and T.VIS® P-15 positioner.

■Saving features of VARIVENT® control valves

VARIVENT® control valves are available in two designs. Type S uses a diaphragm actuator in combination with a positioner, while Type P features a VARIVENT® air/spring actuator and a T.VIS® P-15 positioner. Both variants differ only in the design of the actuator. All components are based on the principle of the VARIVENT® modular system. This enables the option to later convert either Type S or Type P control valves to certain other valve types. Type S control valves are designed for high speed and precision process control. Due to the different operating principle, type P control valves operate at a somewhat slower speed. It is not possible to provide limit settings for simple control tasks, difficult control tasks, or applications, since the control quality must always be considered individually in connection with the control of higher-level processes. However, it is possible to differentiate both series based on their options. Process-related demands on the valve can have a decisive influence on the selection.
