About This Product

■VARIVENT® mix-proof shutoff valveVARIVENT® double seat valves are used to prevent cross-contamination of non-compatible products at pipe joints. The construction of the VARIVENT® modular system provides numerous optional versions to optimally adapt the valve to your process.

■FunctionWhen the valve is closed (inactive position), there are always two seals between the separated pipelines. If one seal is defective, the resulting leakage will be directed through the leakage outlet into the surrounding area without mixing with the product of the second pipeline. This method ensures that products from the two pipelines do not mix.

■Application exampleTo meet the different requirements of different industries, applications and processes, we offer mix-proof isolation valves in different technical configurations in our portfolio. VARIVENT® double seat valves with leak chamber spray cleaning function are frequently used in non-critical areas.

VARIVENT® long-stroke valves are used for transporting products with relatively large particles or highly viscous products such as yogurt with fruit.

■Various typesThe wide variety of VARIVENT® double seat valves allows you to choose the most suitable valve for your process.

- Axial seal valve types D and B have a small switching leakage during each switching procedure, but the axial seal provides a very long service life.
- Radial seal valve type R has the advantage of switching with almost no leakage.
- Valve types B and R are also characterized by being equipped with a balancer in the lower valve housing. This ensures that the valve remains in the closed position in the event of water hammer in the lower pipeline.
