About This Product

■VARICOMP® expansion compensator

The innovative VARICOMP® expansion compensator is used to compensate for expansion and tension in piping systems caused by temperature differences. Due to its excellent construction principle, it is also suitable for aseptic process applications. The decisive advantage of the VARICOMP® expansion compensator is its pocketless design and drainage characteristics. This is an essential feature for optimal cleaning with the CIP/SIP method.

■Technical features

・Sealing without gaps ・Pipe flush, uniform passage ・Flange for fixing the correction element ・Snap ring (seal) for applying force ・Metal stopper (defined sealing pressure, no excessive stress on the compensation element) ・Fixing the compensation element of the outer ring ・The compensation distance is defined by the metal stopper (tension/compression) on the outer ring, so that no excessive stress is placed on the compensation element. ・Additional sealing to atmosphere with O-ring

■Application

VARICOMP® expansion compensators are used to compensate for thermal stresses in piping systems caused by thermal expansion. Particularly suitable for valve matrices and fixed process piping systems. Ideal for hygienic and aseptic process operations. Applications include the dairy, beverage and food industries, as well as the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, biotechnology and cosmetics industries. It can also be used as a replacement for Ω elbow.

The compensation element is the main element of the compensator, which absorbs and compensates for stress.

Compression molded compensation element made of elastomer (EPDM and FKM available) ・Integrated stainless steel vulcanized support ring to withstand pressure loads (overpressure and vacuum) - Stainless steel integral vulcanized support ring used to fix the compensation element ・Smooth inner surface
