About This Product

■Summary

A surge protector that protects network equipment from various surges. It uses a surge absorption method that is completely different from conventional ones, and is effective without being grounded. It will now be possible to protect equipment that previously could not be protected from surges due to grounding. We also have a limited quantity lineup of the Alternative A dedicated type “JPOE-B2-1-A”. Features

■No need for grounding work

Grounding work was always required with conventional surge protectors, but this product uses a new method (between pins 1-2 and 3-6) that accumulates the surge energy and releases it little by little without letting it escape to the ground. Equipment can be protected without any grounding work. *Pins 4/5-7/8 (power supply system) are protected by a conventional varistor.

■Protects Ethernet equipment from various surges

Protects 10/100BASE equipment from induced lightning (LFS), power switching surges (PSS), inrush currents (SIC), and electromagnetic pulses (EMP). It also supports power supply via PoE and PoE Plus.

■High protection ability

Passed 6kV/3kA in tests using combination waveforms (1.2/50μs, 8/20μs). Compatible with IEC standard "IEC 61643-21" which is equivalent to "JIS C5381-21". (Surge protection device connected to communication and signal circuits, equivalent to category C2) Compatible with IEC standard "IEC 61000-4-4", which is equivalent to "JIS C61000-4-4".

■PoE/PoE Plus compatible

It can also be used for Ethernet signal wiring using PoE/PoE Plus.

■DIN rail compatible

This product comes with a DIN rail pedestal and can be mounted on a DIN rail. Additionally, the DIN rail pedestal can be removed and fixed with screws.
