About This Product

■Summary

This is a switch equipped with a 4-port BNC that supports EPoC. Up to four transmitters can be connected, each using one coaxial cable to transmit the Ethernet signal and power to each transmitter. You can select and use the transmitter according to the purpose. Features

■What is the EPoC series?

EPoC series is an abbreviation for Ethernet & Power over Coaxial, and is a system that transmits Ethernet signals and power over long distances from a receiver to a transmitter using a 5C-2V or higher coaxial cable. The transmitter is powered by the power transmitted from the receiver, so there is no need to connect a separate power adapter. Additionally, the transmitter can supply power to PoE-compatible devices.

■Ethernet, long-distance power transmission

Extend Ethernet signals and power over long distances up to 1,200m using 5C-2V or higher coaxial cable. *When transmitting only Ethernet signals, the maximum extension distance is 2,400m.

■Up to 4 systems can be connected

Equipped with 4 BNC ports that support EPoC, and a transmitter can be connected to each port. A total of 4 systems can supply up to 240W of power, so each system can be connected in a daisy chain or in a ring. The maximum number of transmitters that can be connected is 4 when supplying PoE power to the device connected to the transmitter, and 7 when transmitting only Ethernet signals.

■PoE/PoE Plus power supply

A transmitter connected to the XC10-041-250 can supply power to PoE/PoE Plus compatible devices.

■Communication speed

The supported Ethernet standards are 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX.

■Surge countermeasures

The main unit has a built-in surge protector. (Withstand voltage: 6kV) *When operating the surge protector, be sure to connect it to ground.

■Daisy chain connection

This is a connection method that connects multiple transmitters in a daisy chain. Transmitters can be added anywhere on a single coaxial cable, allowing multiple cameras to be operated. The maximum number of transmitters that can be connected and the maximum total extension distance are as follows.
