In an agricultural and rural equipment project in Hokkaido, a head adjustment facility (draft) was established using a hydraulic model experiment to verify the construction of a head in an irrigation canal (with a head of 1 to 5 m) using a V-shaped concrete trough as specified by the Ministry of Agriculture.
■ Small waterway in the field (draft)
1. In principle, the canal type shall be an open canal type of irrigation canal.
2. The standard V-shaped concrete trough for downstream water channels.
3. In principle, the cross section of the waterway shall be less than the standard type.
4. As a general rule, the water flow area should be a regular flow.
