This is a catch basin used to adjust the amount of water (shallow water or deep water) in a rice field.
■Features
・The position of the bottom of the pit is deeper than the rice field so that water drains better when draining (falling into water).
- By installing a partition plate to prevent mud during draining (falling into water), a dirt pool will form between the front plate and the partition plate, so soil will not be thrown out. Also, if you install a screen instead of a partition board, you can stop rice straw, etc.
- The uneven structure on the sides does not create a path for rats or oysters, so there is no water leakage in the rice fields.
