In the late 1975s, Ozawa Concrete Industries Co., Ltd. (currently Materas Ome Industries Co., Ltd.) developed permeable Polacon with the idea of ​​suppressing the runoff of rainwater, which is the source of urban flooding. As a result, it has achieved many successes as a spill control facility to this day. Furthermore, the concept of mitigation, which aims to compensate for the loss of the natural environment due to development by creating a qualitatively and quantitatively equivalent natural environment, has become increasingly important. For this reason, storage and infiltration type Polacon facilities are being installed in a wide range of projects, from comprehensive river flood control measures and sewage outflow control measures to environmentally harmonious urban development.
