About This Product

■Summary

NEP arch is a general term for arch bridges constructed using arch rings. An arch ring is an arch block consisting of 4 to 5 mortar blocks that are integrally molded with a connecting material (Adem, etc.) embedded in them.After curing, multiple arch blocks are connected using connecting hardware, making it flexible. It is a series of parts that are integrated while maintaining the same. The arch ring has a flat shape when transported, but when lifted using a crane on site, it becomes arch-shaped and can be installed on the foundation and stand on its own. It also serves as shoring and bottom formwork. An arch bridge is constructed by placing backfill material (low-strength concrete) on top of the arch ring.

■Features

1.Economy NEP arch requires almost no shoring or scaffolding, requires less water replacement work than other construction methods, and can construct an arch bridge in a short period of time. 2. Can be transported in parts NEP arches can be delivered in pieces as arch blocks and assembled into arch rings at the construction site, making it possible to deliver them to sites where it is difficult for large vehicles to enter. 3, Design method The NEP arch design method uses FEM analysis design method, so you can use it with confidence. 4. Improved aesthetics It harmonizes with the landscape in the same way as the atmospheric stone arch bridges of old.

■Construction method

1. The arch ring produced and connected at the factory is delivered to the site. (Arch rings may be connected on the transport vehicle or at the on-site yard.) 2. After lifting the arch ring with a crane using a special jig and forming it into an arch shape, the arch ring is installed on the foundation concrete that has developed the specified strength. (Make sure it has the specified span (inner width) and rise (inner height).) 3. Repeat the arch ring installation work for the specified number of people. After the arch ring installation is completed, the formwork is assembled and backfill concrete is poured. After curing, the mold is removed and backfilled to complete the NEP arch.
