■Clean energy system suitable for life in northern countries

Deep underground, about 10 meters underground, there is geothermal heat that is kept at a stable temperature (approximately 10 degrees Celsius) all year round. A geothermal heat exchange system focuses on this natural blessing and utilizes the "temperature difference" between the heat underground and the air temperature above ground to melt snow in carports and cool and heat rooms indoors. Aizawa confidently proposes a geothermal heat exchange system using ``Energy Pile'' as the clean energy system most suitable for life in Hokkaido, which aims to live in harmony with the magnificent nature.

■Integrated molding of pile and heat exchanger (world's first)

Aizawa's "Energy Pile" is the world's first high-performance pile that successfully integrates the pile that supports the house and the heat collection pipe (resin U-shaped pipe). This is a great feature, as the installation of the heat collection pipes for circulating antifreeze fluid is completed at the same time as the installation of the H-pile, which has a reputation for its speed of construction, is completed. This paved the way for the use of geothermal heat in ordinary homes, which was thought to be too expensive and inaccessible.

■Preliminary experiment on Hokkaido University campus

In collaboration with the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Engineering, we installed four energy piles (7 m/pile) in an experimental house on the university campus and conducted a preliminary experiment using them for heating with a heat pump system. The average power rate was 26.4W during the period, demonstrating its function as a sufficient underground heat exchanger.

■Demonstration experiment in Sapporo city

Furthermore, in February, during the bitterly cold season, we began a full-scale experiment by laying 33 energy piles (7m deep) in a detached house in Sapporo. When we investigated the snow melting conditions on the road surface, we found that the heat extraction rate remained stable at an average of 1.5kW (the average heat extraction rate per 1m of pile length was 6.4kW). As a result, it was demonstrated that one energy pile (7m/pile) has the ability to melt approximately 1m2 of snow.
