About This Product

■Structure

Mainspring motors are roughly divided into the following five elements: ・Case: This is the case that stores the mainspring. ・Reverse winding prevention mechanism: When the mainspring is unwound and the number of windings reaches zero, it prevents the mainspring from winding to the opposite side. ・Shaft: Transmits the power of the mainspring through rotation (optional) ・Overwinding prevention mechanism: This is a mechanism to prevent damage when the mainspring is wound over the maximum rotation speed. ・Spring: This is the mainspring that is the source of drive.

■Reverse winding prevention mechanism

Prevents damage caused by forcibly turning the mainspring, which has been released from winding, in the opposite direction to the winding direction. One-way clutch: The shaft rotates freely when the mainspring rotates in the opposite direction to the winding direction. After the mainspring is unwound, the shaft continues to rotate due to inertia. It is also possible to use this inertial force as additional power.

■Overwinding prevention mechanism

This prevents damage caused by winding the mainspring too much more than the maximum rotation speed. If the mainspring is wound too tightly, the end of the mainspring will move within the case as the mainspring expands and contracts.

■Application example

・Transportation trolley: By assembling a spring motor to the axle of the trolley and tightening and releasing the spring motor according to the movement of the axle, the trolley can automatically move forward and backward in conjunction with the movement of the spring motor. ・Turntable: When a clockwise motor is attached to the turntable shaft, the table will automatically return to its original position after changing direction. ・Swing gate: By applying the mechanism of a turntable and assembling the shaft, gate, and braking unit to the mainspring motor, it becomes a manual swing gate. The braking unit allows the gate to return slowly after opening, which prevents subsequent passers-by from colliding with the gate.
