About This Product

■Features

- Convenient for checking remaining battery power and charging status of NiCd and NiMH rechargeable batteries. It is an indispensable tool when you need to check a large number of dry batteries or to check whether the rechargeable batteries are properly charged. - Compatible with AA and AAA batteries. (Equipped with two types of battery holders) -Displays battery voltage with 3-digit 7-segment LED. In addition to the display, the buzzer notifies the voltage value using Morse code. Once you get used to it, you will be able to judge the battery voltage without looking at the LED display. Accurate voltage value display and audible notification are features not found in commercially available battery checkers. ・Load resistance when measuring battery voltage can be changed using a toggle switch. It has three stages of switching: no load, 4.7Ω load, and 1Ω load. (4.7Ω is for checking manganese and alkaline batteries, 1Ω is for checking NiCd and NiMH rechargeable batteries) - While pressing the push switch, you can display the value of ``no-load voltage - load voltage'', that is, the voltage value that drops when a load is applied. -Controlled by PIC16F819 microcontroller. Since the control program has been written, a PIC microcontroller development environment is not required. ・Since the power for the control circuit is taken from the battery under test, there is no need for a separate power supply to operate the circuit. A DC-DC converter IC (LTC3400) is used to supply power. ・We minimize the time that the battery is loaded and the current is flowing to minimize the burden on the battery. The battery voltage is displayed in cycles of about 1 second, and the battery voltage is measured by connecting a load to the battery for only about 0.13 seconds. During other periods, there is no load and only circuit current (approximately 20mA) flows. Even when measuring with a load resistance of 1Ω, the load resistance is only connected for about 1/8 of the measurement time, which prevents wear and tear caused by voltage measurement. - Built into a 120 x 60 x 24 mm plastic case. - All technical materials such as circuit diagrams and control software are publicly available. -It will be distributed as an assembly kit, not a finished product. One surface mount IC (LTC3400) used is provided pre-mounted on a printed circuit board.
