About This Product

■DescriptionHI3822 is a water quality test kit that measures sulfite concentration in two ranges: 0-20mg/L and 0-200mg/LNa2SO3.

The HI3822 comes with all necessary reagents and equipment to perform the analysis. The test kit contains enough reagents to perform approximately 110 tests.

Feature overview
■Completion of setupAll necessary materials are included in the test kit, including sample beakers, indicator and reagent bottles, and calibrated syringes.

■High resolutionMeasurements from 0 to 20mg/L are measured with a resolution of 0.2mg/L. Measurements from 0 to 200 mg/L are measured with a resolution of 2 mg/L.

■Replacement reagents availableThere is no need to purchase a new kit even if you run out of reagents. For HI3822-100, you can order the reagents used in the kit.

■Advantages of usingThere are many reasons to monitor sulfite levels in water. A sulfite concentration of approximately 20 mg/L must be maintained in boiler feed water and waste water to prevent pitting and oxidation of metal components. High concentrations of sulfites lower pH and promote corrosion.

Sulfite monitoring is also important in environmental management. Sulfite ions are toxic to aquatic life. The chemical demands that sulfides make on oxygen in water can disrupt the delicate ecological balance of lakes, rivers, and ponds.

■AccessoriesThe HI3822 test kit includes 30 mL of sulfamic acid solution, 30 mL of EDTA reagent, 15 mL of sulfuric acid solution, 10 mL of starch indicator, 120 mL of titrant, 20 mL of calibration vessel, 50 mL of calibration vessel, and a tipped calibration syringe.
