About This Product
■pH meter suitable for measuring wine
HI 99111D is a waterproof portable pH/℃ meter with pH electrode for wine. The sleeve-type pH electrode minimizes wear and deterioration of the pH electrode due to clogging or dirt in the liquid junction. It also performs pH calibration at pH7.01 (or pH6.86) and pH3.00, making it a highly reliable device suitable for measuring wine pH.
■This is the point
After all, the structure of the pH electrode is its biggest feature. Wine and grape juice before fermentation have a high solid content, so if a typical ceramic liquid junction is used, it will clog quickly, accelerating the wear and deterioration of the pH electrode. Hanna uses unique CPS technology. (CPS: Clogging Prevention System)
In order to prevent clogging of the liquid junction, the porosity of the glass is used together with the PTFE sleeve. The PTFE sleeve prevents solids (impurities) from entering, while the glass mating allows for proper drainage of internal fluids. As a result, measurement stability is improved and wear and deterioration are minimized. The electrodes can be used at temperatures up to 80℃.
The pH electrode status is displayed on the left side of the screen for 12 hours after calibration. By understanding the condition of the pH electrode, which is normally invisible to the naked eye, you can appropriately determine when to perform maintenance or replace it. The calibrated standard solution value is also displayed at the bottom of the screen. Connecting the electrode and main body is easy. The main body is IP67 waterproof, and the connections are also fully waterproof.
■Other features
-Special specification where pH calibration is performed at pH3.00 instead of pH4.01. Calibration can be performed at a point close to the pH value of the wine, allowing for more accurate measurements.
