About This Product

■Characteristics of Duracon

- Less creep and less fatigue. - Has high bending strength and elastic modulus, and has spring-like elasticity. -Low hygroscopicity. ・Excellent chemical resistance. ・Withstands repeated loads. (10 to the 6th power or more)

■Duracon board (standard product) size

The width is 500mm, the length is 1,000mm, and the thickness is from 0.5 to 100mm. In addition to selling the above materials, we also provide processed products using the above materials, provide them in the size (cutting size) required by our customers, and provide them in the quantities required by our customers (from individual pieces to We will accept your offer).

■What is Duracon?

Duracon is a resin (plastic) made from polyacetal copolymer (polyoxymethylene) (symbol: POM). (something similar, something similar) Iupital is a competing product. Delrin is a resin made from polyacetal homopolymer.

■Lubricity of Duracon

It is classified as an engineering plastic because it has self-lubricating properties and is used in bearings, etc. It is an indispensable material for mechanical parts. There is also a grade of Duracon mixed with solid mineral oil. The lubricity has been further improved.

■Duracon friction

It belongs to the category with low friction coefficient. It is used in parts that dislike oil, such as textile machinery.

■Duracon color

Duracon POM has a milky white primary color due to its highly crystalline plastic. Coloring is done with pigments. By adding pigment to Duracon material, it can be colored. Black round rods and board materials are colored with these pigments. The primary color of Duracon looks white, but it is not colored.

■ Duracon's flammability

It has an oxygen index of 15, making it a highly flammable plastic, and there is no flame-retardant grade. Because its molecular structure contains many oxygen atoms, it has an oxygen index of 15, making it one of the most flammable polymers.

■Duracon and Delrin

POM homopolymer is a substance with a melting point of 175 degrees, and copolymer is a substance with a melting point of 162 degrees.

■Spring properties of Duracon

Duracon is a material with excellent spring properties. This is used in springs that hang ballpoint pens in pockets.
