■ Necessary and sufficient live cell observationThis is an ultra-small incubator that allows cells to be cultured on a microscope stage. We narrowed down the functional performance to temperature control and CO2 mixing, and created an inexpensive and compact package. Cell culture is performed for approximately one week, and live cell observation and time-lapse photography are easily achieved.

2. Costs are kept to the bare minimum by eliminating additional functions such as data recording and remote operation.
3.It has a structure that can be easily customized using resin screws. Even after purchase, improvements can be made by replacing parts.

control device
■Temperature & CO2 control device “BE-052A”"BE052A" combines autonomous temperature control and CO2 mixing. Both chamber C-140T for well plates and chamber C-070T for dishes can be connected together (both cannot be connected at the same time).

■Autonomous temperature control (constantly stabilizes target temperature)It measures the heater temperature and target temperature* and switches the control target depending on the situation to maintain the optimal temperature inside the refrigerator. *The target temperature sensor is attached to the plate surface to pseudo-detect the temperature of the culture medium and, in turn, the cells. When starting or opening the lid and the target temperature is low, the heater is controlled and quickly heats up. Once the temperature is sufficient, the control target is switched to the target and the target temperature is controlled preferentially.

■CO2 mixtureIt takes in 100% CO2 gas, mixes it with the atmosphere, adjusts it to a predetermined concentration, and sends it to the cell culture chamber using a low leak (*). *It does not detect the concentration inside the chamber.

■Individual controlFor live observation of several hours, CO2 can be handled by the remaining capacity of the culture medium, so there is also the ``BT051A'' which only has an autonomous temperature control function without the CO2 mixing function.

If you would like to add a CO2 mixing function later or just want to manage the gas phase, we offer models ``BC701a/b'' without the temperature control function. The BC701a uses natural evaporation in the water storage pan to humidify air with a low flow rate, and the BC701b has a high flow rate switching function that allows humidification by passing water through it.
