About This Product

■High-speed generation of parametric 3D design models from scan/polygon data

GeomagicDesignX is the only 3D modeling software for reverse engineering that can create CAD data by defining and editing dimensions from polygon data (point cloud) obtained with a 3D scanner. Create feature-based solid models that are compatible with popular CAD software.

■Features

・Seamlessly linked with CAD such as Mastercam - Accurately and reliably create CAD models from 3D scans ・If you have CAD experience, you can quickly master how to use it. ・The constructed 3D model can be used as is for manufacturing. ・Processes even large amounts of data faster than any other software

■What is reverse modeling?

A 3D scanner is used to load the actually existing shape into a PC as XYZ coordinate points, a 3D shape model is created from the polygon and point cloud data, design requirements are added, and the data is converted into 3D design data.

■Design/manufacturing

・Converting clay models created by craftsmen into CAD data ・Product design that utilizes the shapes of people, animals, natural objects, etc. ・Design of product jigs, special packaging materials, and accessory parts

■Maintenance

・Create past products that have not been converted into drawings into CAD data and save them digitally ・Create and restore complete CAD data from damaged parts

■Analysis

・Performance analysis of competing products and past products for which we do not have data ・Performance confirmation of prototypes with additional work done on site

■Mesh fit

Mesh fitting is a data conversion method that covers polygon data with a NURBS curved surface.

・Assembly confirmation of external shape (interference check) ・Creation of data for analysis (data closer to actual data) Utilization fields

Parametric modeling is a method of modeling based on polygon data, which has elements and quality that allow design changes.

GeomagiceDesignX exports the design history to CAD software for further editing of the model. Direct control tools for various 3D scanners
