About This Product

■FeaturesThe Dräger Polytron®8700IR is a high-performance explosion-proof detector and alarm for detecting flammable gases at the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). It is equipped with a high-performance infrared Dräger PIR7000 sensor for quick detection of the most common hydrocarbon gases.

In addition to the 3-wire 4-20mA analog output with relay, HART®, Modbus and various fieldbuses are also available, allowing for integration into any control system.

■Dräger PIR7000 - highly efficient, stable and robustDräger PIR7000 Featuring an efficient and stable 316L stainless steel housing and a drift-free optical measurement system, the Dräger PIR7000 is designed to adapt to the harshest industrial environments such as offshore installations. Masu.

Featuring a unique double-compensated four-beam measurement system, the sensor is resistant to dust and dirt buildup on the optical element surface, environmental and aging effects, and long-term drift. When combined with Polytron8700, up to 100 gases can be registered in the gas library, providing flexibility for a variety of applications.

Gases registered in the library list can be selected from the menu and automatically cross-calibrated using standard calibration gases such as methane and propane. There is no need to contact the factory even if the application changes.

■Easy device management using digital communicationThe digital interface on the Dräger Polytron 8700 allows for quick and easy remote assessment of the status of detector alarms.

You can also integrate with existing asset management systems such as PACTware via DTM. In addition to the standard HART® communication system, it also supports PROFIBUS PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1, and Modbus RTU fieldbus interfaces.
