■Features
The Dräger Polytron®8720IR is a high-performance explosion-proof detector and alarm that detects carbon dioxide in vol.% or ppm. Equipped with a high-performance infrared Dräger PIR7200 sensor, it will not be damaged even if submerged in water.
In addition to the 3-wire 4-20mA analog output with relay, HART®, Modbus and various fieldbuses are also available, allowing for integration into any control system.
■Dräger PIR7200 - highly efficient, stable and robust
Featuring a 316L stainless steel housing and a drift-free optical measurement system, the Dräger PIR7200 is designed to adapt to the harshest industrial and commercial outdoor environments. Featuring a unique 4-beam signal stabilization system, the sensor is resistant to dust and dirt that can accumulate on the optical element surface.
It compensates for the effects of environmental and aging deterioration and maintains stable measurement without drift over a long period of time. The measurement range can be freely set in the range of 0 to 2,000ppm or 0 to 30vol.%, supporting a wide variety of applications.
■Easy device management using digital communication
The digital interface on the Dräger Polytron 8720 allows for quick and easy remote assessment of the status of detector alarms. It can also be integrated with existing asset management systems such as PACTware™ via DTM.
In addition to standard HART® communication systems, it also supports PROFIBUS®PA, FOUNDATION fieldbus™ H1, and Modbus RTU fieldbus interfaces.
