About This Product

■Features

Dräger Polytron®5200CAT is a cost-effective, explosion-proof detector alarm for lower explosive limit (LEL) flammable gas detection. The catalytic combustion sensor DrägerSensor®Ex is used to detect most flammable gases and vapors. 3-wire 4-20mA analog output capability with relay is compatible with almost all control systems.

■Quick response and stability – DrägerSensor®Ex v

DrägerSensor®Ex uses the proven catalytic bead principle. Innovative dual active sensing elements provide long-term zero point stability. It also offers higher levels of toxicity resistance and a longer product life, resulting in lower cost of ownership. Performance measurements have also been improved. Equipped with an innovative gas inlet, the sensor detects gas in just a few seconds.

■Common platform design, common operation system

Polytron5200 is a product of the Dräger Polytron5000 series. All detection alarms in this series have a common design and common user interface. This unifies operation and reduces training and maintenance requirements. The backlit display clearly shows status information, and the magnetic bar provides quick, contactless access to functions. During normal operation, gas concentration and units of measurement are displayed. Tri-color LEDs (green, yellow, red) provide alert and status information.

■Three relays to control external devices

On request, the Dräger Polytron 5200 can be equipped with three relays. This allows it to output two concentration alarms and one failure alarm, allowing it to be used as an independent gas detection system. This means that external devices such as buzzers and signal lights can be controlled locally without the need for additional cables between the detection alarm and the central control unit.
