About This Product

■Features

Dräger Polytron®5100 EC is a cost-effective, explosion-proof gas detection alarm for the detection of toxic gases and oxygen. Connect various DrägerSensor® electrochemical sensors with high-performance plug-and-play functionality to detect specific gases. 2-wire or 3-wire 4-20mA analog output with relay allows integration into most control systems.

■Durable, high performance and highly sensitive DrägerSensor®

Polytron5100 can detect a total of 15 types of target gases in various measurement ranges by connecting Dräger's unique electrochemical sensor. The long-life sensor allows continuous sensing even under harsh conditions. DrägerSensors support a wide temperature range from -40°C to +65°C, the highest in the industry. The sensor has an internal memory chip that stores all calibration and configuration-related information. The sensor is pre-calibrated and ready for use in the field. The sensor connection is intrinsically safe, eliminating the need for a flame arrester, resulting in faster response times and higher sensitivity.

■Common platform design, common operation system

Polytron5100 is a product of the Dräger Polytron5000 series. All gas detection alarms in this series have a common design and common user interface. This unifies operation and reduces training and maintenance requirements. A backlit display provides easy-to-understand status information, and a magnetic bar provides quick, contactless access to functions. During normal operation, gas concentration and units of measurement are displayed. Alarm and status information is displayed on tri-color LEDs (green, yellow, red).

■Three relays to control external devices

On request, the Dräger Polytron 5100 can be equipped with three relays. This allows it to output two gas concentration alarms and one equipment failure alarm, allowing it to be used as an independent gas detection system. This means that external devices such as buzzers and warning lights can be controlled locally without the need for additional cables between the detector and the central control unit.
