​X-am5100 is extremely rugged. Adopting a one-piece rubber protective housing and shock-resistant sensor, it provides high safety against shock and vibration. It is also unaffected by electromagnetic radiation.

■Area monitor

In combination with Dräger X-zone 5500, it can be used for various area monitoring applications. For example, up to 25 X-zone5500s can be automatically interconnected to create a wireless alarm chain. By connecting multiple units of this small, portable measuring device, it is possible to monitor large areas such as pipelines or industrial tanks during shutdowns.​
